Steve Chaplin and his wife, Sherri, are native Charlestonians and have lived and worked locally all their lives.  They have raised two sons, Stevie and Matthew, who are pursuing careers of their own.

Steve has recently retired from his 33-year career with South Carolina’s largest privately owned utility company. Steve’s career focused on substation construction and maintenance, concentrating much of his efforts on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.  Steve has had extensive safety training and considers safety a critical part of every job. He has successfully completed a four-year program for journeyman substation electrician and also a two-year electronics course with NRI. Steve and his partner Joe Cross started C&C Networks, LLC in 2005, working mostly in the industrial plant environment, although they have completed several commercial jobs as well. Steve is a Panduit®-certified installer for copper and fiber optic. He is also a member of BISCI.

Joe Cross and his wife Becky are native to the Charleston area as well.  Joe has lived and worked locally all of his life.  Joe and Becky’s daughters, Stephanie and Paige are currently working and studying in the fields of child care and nursing.

Joe is Electrical Maintenance Engineer at a global manufacturing facility in the Summerville area and been with the plant since 1983. Joe has worked in the industrial plant environment for his entire career, and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of industrial maintenance. Joe has an electrical/electronic degree and specializes in troubleshooting and has managed several large projects. Joe has had extensive safety training and takes safety very seriously. Joe is also a Panduit®-certified installer for copper and fiber. He and Steve have worked and operated C&C Networks, LLC together since 2005.
